OKLAHOMA CITY – Oklahoma City University women's soccer team beat St. Gregory's 6-0 on Saturday night at Stars Field.
Caroline Dixon, a freshman from Manchester, England, had four goals and an assist in the match to lead the Stars. Dixon was assisted by Alex Miley, a sophomore from Edmond, Okla., on her first goal in the 27th minute.
Dixon scored her third goal off an assist by Kara Nimz, a senior from Oklahoma City, on her third goal in the 62nd minute. Dixon scored unassisted on her second and fourth goals in the match.
Malin Andersson, a sophomore from Huskvarna, Sweden scored the first goal in the match and was assisted by Dixon. Zoe Barratt, a senior from West Yorkshire, England, scored the final goal for the Stars in the 77th minute.
The Stars defense held St. Gregory's to only one shot in the match.
OCU improved to a record of 8-3-1, 4-0 in the Sooner Athletic Conference. The Stars will face Rogers State on Saturday, Oct. 11 at 6 p.m. in Claremore, Okla.
